Our Story

Built from our ownshipping experience.

The Shipment

One shipment made the friction impossible to ignore.

For four years, our founder, Kwabena Abankwa, shipped goods from the United States to Ghana and accepted the friction many diaspora senders know well: unclear timelines, limited communication, and the anxiety of not knowing where his items were.

Then one shipment changed everything. In November, he sent a package he urgently needed by January. January came, the package did not, and there was no tracking, clear update, or reliable way to understand what was happening.

He followed up repeatedly through WhatsApp, but responses often came days later. The package eventually arrived, but the silence around its journey made the problem impossible to ignore.

Why We Built Ntempa

The problem was bigger than one delayed package.

As we spoke with the business owner and other freight operators, we saw the same pattern across underserved communities, including routes into Africa, the Caribbean, and beyond.

Many operators were relying on paper records, spreadsheets, WhatsApp messages, disconnected apps, and manual updates. Those fragmented tools could not provide the visibility, accountability, or consistency customers expected.

Without a real system, every new shipment added more manual work. Customers were frustrated, operators were overwhelmed, and businesses struggled to scale.

Our Mission

Simplifying the shipping experience for diaspora communities and the businesses that serve them.

Our Vision

Making the shipping experience easier, more transparent, and more trusted for diaspora communities everywhere.
